Solé Lamp

Solé Lamp

Solé is an ambient table lamp inspired by our main natural light source: the sun. It is meant to live in an indoor environment dedicated to therapeutic practices for wellness and self improvement. Her goal is to soften the space with an omnidirectional warm glow. Set below the user´s eye level to avoid feelings of being spotlighted and rather enhance the sentiments of relaxation and safety. Users could vary from psychologists, patients, meditation practitioners and other wellness performers.

User Group

The target audience is meant to vary within anyone in the wellness and therapeutic scope. Users could alter from psychologists, their patients, therapists, meditation and yoga practitioners or simply anyone that is willing to create a space to work on themselves. These individuals are typically people that enjoy natural medicinal activities and appreciate natural light sources like the sun. However due to changing circumstances in the world they seem to have brought those activities indoors but they still seek that former feeling of natural relaxation.

User Testimonies

“ These are illuminated by warm lights, yellow and low intensity, but never white. I chose these colors because they illuminate enough but maintain a warm environment, conducive to intimacy. A very bright office at night would look like a clinic. I think this makes the environment more personal and far away from the feeling of a hospital, which can make patients feel on a spotlight or even crazy when they are not, they are just working on making themselves the best version of themselves..”

— Maricarmen Ramos- Psychologist

“I am now in online therapy sessions but when I went to the in-person consultory, there were no table or floor lamps in the office, just ceiling bulbs. I also think that the light needs to be as far away from typical task lamps as possible, a form that can help the light set the zone. Now that I do therapy in my room, I feel like it's harder to open up since I have to do it through the bright phone screen.”

— Emilia – Psychology Therapy Patient

“In my consultory I have a table lamp and a dichroic lamp on the ceiling that can be modulated... I need light for me, to read my things and see my patient's feet... but the patient does not need light... on the contrary... as dark as possible, everything that helps to relax for them to open up to the process of healing, if they don't get to that stage of opening up, the therapy does not work.”

— Karina Lanata- Biomagnetic Therapist

“I wish I could use candles but I am scared I will push them without noticing and create an accident. As for colors, yellow, warm tones created by the salt are much better. This color makes me feel more in the zone, to concentrate and relax.Yellow lights set me in the zone to close my eyes because a large part of the meditation is with the eyes closed. Also sensing the light but not seeing it is of great help.”

— Patricia Yong- has been practicing meditation for over 10 years
